Dispute between Hua Hin Night Market vendors and shop owners

On 29 January 2008 Vice Mayor of  Hua Hin Municipality Khun Witool Loh-Siriluck said that there is a dispute between Night Market vendors and shop owners on Soi 72. The shop owners of the shops on Soi 72 are unhappy because the Night Market vendors block with their goods for sale the footpath next to the shops. This prevents potential shoppers from using the footpath and going into shops to buy goods. The shop owners complain that they have lost a lot of business as a result of the footpath being blocked. Inspector General from Ministry of Culture visits Hua Hin Cultural Association

On Wednesday 23 January 2008 Mrs Prisna Pongtadsirikul, Inspector General from Ministry of Culture and staff come to visit Prachaupkhirikhan Provincial Culture Division. They were welcomed by Prachaupkhirikhan Provincial Culture Officer Khun Thongbai Klin-Ubol and staff. Khun Thongbai has made a report regarding last year work done by Provincial Culture Division after which he has invited all present to visit some local communities and to see how Thai culture is preserved.

On Thursday 17 January 2008 at the Election Control Department, Election Commission (EC) have arranged a facts finding meeting. EC nullified election results in two constituencies: Klongwarn village and from Park-nam-pran village. We have visited recently the Karen village at Tambol Huay-sat-yai, Hua Hin district. In the village live Karen refuges from Burma. They have been displacement since 1996 when mass forced relocation program inside Burma took place. The Nang Yai Shadow Puppet Drama at Wat Khanon was first established during the reign of King Chulalongkorn. It now is the only important location for this form of entertainment in Thailand.
