On Monday 11 February 2008 Governor of Prachuapkhirikhan Province Mr. Prasong Pitulkitja has shown Mai-Jan-Hom magic tree to Hua Hin residents.
He and the provincial staff went recently to the Gui-Buri Jungle to find Mai-Jan-Hom tree. Thais believe that this tree has magic powers. In the past when the Thai prince, princess, king or queen has had a funeral, the cinerary urn was made out of Mai-Jan-Hom wood.

On Friday morning 01 February 2008 close to the Boh Fai Village entrance 50 years old fitter of communication service Mr.Trirong Sookprasert has suffered an electric shock. Mr.Trirong has climbed up on the electric post as he was about to install cable for internet line. At that time internet cable has touched electric cable and there was loud explosion.
