Watercolor workshop on the beach
During August 22-23, 2009 members of Baan Sillapin Hua Hin Arts Gallery and public took part in watercolor workshop at Marukhathayawan Palace organized with help of Thai PBS channel. It will be part of art series broadcasted on Thai PBS Channel.
Viewers of the series have requested that producers invite Araya Thotrakul to the program and organize “Painting on the beach” (Chom Haad Wart Si Nam) project. Painting on the beach was prepared with cooperation of Ajarn Thawee Kesa-Ngarm from Baan Sillapin who as an art lecturer during the program. He was showing participants of the program on the beach how to paint watercolors. The project helped participants get closer to watercolors with smile. The participants were real fans from “Sorn Sil Program” in different ages and occupations.
Before painting has started, all participants were asked to introduce themselves and tell about their painting skills. Most of them said that they had not expected to become great artists after few days of workshop, but what they had expected to touch the world of watercolor and meet people who loved art.
Painting watercolor is not easy, because in order to produce masterpiece artists need to plan the whole picture in their heads. Program producers hoped that the TV program had made people fall in love with watercolor world and colorful world.
